Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki anticipates returning this season, likely in the last week, according to the Denver Post’s Troy Renck.
He would then get some work in October in the Arizona instructional league.
Tulowitzki hasn’t played since May 30 because of a groin injury that still isn’t fully healed.
The 27-year-old Tulowitzki has hit .287/.360/.486 this year with eight home runs in 203 plate appearances.
Renck also speculates a position change (likely to third base) for Tulowitzki in the near future, though Tulowitzki has indicated he’s focused on playing shortstop.
